MOGUATE FAMILIES

A Community of Support

     What to expect
       at MOGUATE:

What started out as just a little
gathering with a few families in
2007 has turned into one of the
biggest retreats for families with
kids from Guatemala in the US!

I know personally, that MOGUATE
has been a huge blessing for our
family. We have formed lifelong
friendships, while our kids get to see
families that look like theirs and they
have formed great friendships as well.
My hope is that if you are new, you
will find some new friends to connect
with and continue that friendship
throughout the year, even after
MOGUATE is over. If you are a
returning MOGUATE attendee,
I hope that you enjoy being together
again with your “old” friends, while
making new friends too!

This weekend is all about RELAXING! We spend a lot of time by the ARROWHEAD pool, just hanging out! There is also a quieter pool across from Grill Marx (formerly Burger King) called the Tradewinds Pool, if that is more your speed, but the group will congregate at the ARROWHEAD POOL at the bottom of the hill.

All meals, other than those mentioned below, are on your own. There is a Grill Marx (formerly Burger King) and a Pizzeria 26 (formerly Sbarro) on site, and the Black Bear Lodge Restaurant, as well as hot dogs and sandwiches at the Jetty Bar poolside. There are also many local restaurants within a few miles of the resort. The rooms have small fridges in them, if you want to bring food for the weekend.
